Snapchatters are people that you didn’t add on Snapchat and It could also mean that the individual removed you as a friend or blocked you.
In further words, it means that you’re no longer friends with the handler on Snapchat. On the other hand, the audiences above “Other Snapchatters” are shared, friends.
Let’s suppose that you’ve added somebody as a friend and they’ve added you back. After this, you posted a story on your Snapchat story.
Then, the individual viewed your story right after you posted it. If so, their username will be exposed on your story viewers’ list.
Though, if they decided to remove you as a friend or block you, their person will be exposed under “Other Snapchatters”. If the person added you back again, they will be shown as a usual viewer.
-
Reason 1: You didn’t add the person as a friend on Snapchat
According to Snapchat Support, if you didn’t add a person back on Snapchat and they watched your story, they will be shown under “Other Snapchatters”. On the other hand, the individuals you added (and that added you as well) will be exposed to the usual story viewers.
An operator tweeted “What does Other Snapchatters mean on story views” tagging Snapchat Support back in 2017.
Snapchat openly stated that “Other Snapchatters” are Snapchatters whom you haven’t added. We proved this theory by using a secondary account to add my main account.
Then, we posted a story on my main account and watched it using my subordinate account.
When we checked the story viewers of my main account, my secondary account was registered under “Other Snapchatters”. Later, this approves the theory of “Other Snapchatters” being users that you haven’t added back on Snapchat.
-
Reason 2: The person removed you as a friend
The additional reason why you see “Other Snapchatters” is that the person might have detached you as a friend on Snapchat. When somebody removed you as a friend on Snapchat, they will be registered under “Other Snapchatters”.
If the person saw your story, they will be on your usual story viewers list. Though, if they removed you as a friend, they will be stimulated under “Other Snapchatters”. You can approve that they’ve removed you as a friend by observing your chat list.
If you realize a gray arrow or a “Pending” status under the person’s name on your chat list, that means that the person detached you as a friend. As such, if they chanced to remove you as a friend, they will be shown under “Other Snapchatters” in your story viewers.
-
Reason 3: The person blocked you
The last reason why you’re seeing “Other Snapchatters” is that the people under it have blocked you on Snapchat. If somebody blocked you on Snapchat, they won’t be listed under your normal story viewers any longer. In its place, they will be registered under “Other Snapchatters”.
Like the initial section, I’ve tested this theory myself.
- We used two accounts and extra each other as friends.
- A story was sent on my first account and we viewed it using my second account.
- We checked the story viewers using my first account and my second account was registered as a normal story viewer.
- We blocked my first account using my second account.
- When we checked the story viewers on my first account, we saw that my second account was listed under “Other Snapchatters”.
This test shows that if someone blocks you on Snapchat, they will be registered under “Other Snapchatters” in your story viewers. Though the person must have watched your story before blocking you or they won’t be able to see it.
Why does it say “Other Snapchatters” even when you’re still friends?
If it says “Other Snapchatters” even when you’re still friends, the person has blocked you on Snapchat. Else, they might have removed you as a friend but you’re ignorant of it.
There are three ways to approve whether someone blocked you on Snapchat.
- First, the person will be revealed under “Other Snapchatters” in your story viewers. If you post a story in the future, it won’t be registered as your story viewer anymore.
- This is since a person who has congested you on Snapchat will hide your profile from them.
- That being said, they won’t be able to see your stories any longer. Then, if you see a gray arrow under a user in your chat list, that states that the person has perhaps removed you as a friend.
- Finally, a “Pending” status means that the person has detached you as a friend as well. A gray arrow and a “Pending” status can also state that the person has blocked you on Snapchat.
